How It Works & Fees

From a first conversation to a written plan

Our process is designed to make a significant move easier to understand. We start with your circumstances, put the scope and fee in writing, and stay with you after the visa is approved. Here is exactly what happens, in order, and how the fee is worked out.

The Process

Five stages, one point of contact

Whether you need a single visa extension or a full move, the shape is the same. You always know what happens next and who is doing it.

  1. Free consultation

Tell us what you hope to achieve, where you are now and when you would like to move. We ask about your age, nationality, current status, how your finances are arranged and where you want to live. By the end you know which route fits and whether we see any problem.

By video, phone, WhatsApp or in personTypically 30 to 45 minutesNo obligation
A PDC adviser talking through options with a client in the office
  2. Written scope and quote

One document that lists what we will do, what it costs, what is excluded and which government or third-party fees apply separately. You read it, ask questions, and decide. Nothing is charged until you say yes.

Usually within two working daysValid for 30 days
A planning desk with a laptop, a checklist and a map of Thailand
  3. Preparation

You receive a personal document checklist with notes on what needs certifying, legalising or translating, and in what order. We complete the forms, check every document and tell you when something is missing before it becomes a problem at the counter.

Two PDC advisers reviewing a client's documents together
  4. Application, arrival and set-up

We book the immigration appointment and accompany you where it helps. If your package includes relocation, this is also when arrival support, banking, housing and healthcare set-up happen, in the order that avoids doing anything twice.

A PDC adviser welcoming a retired couple with luggage
  5. Ongoing support

Your renewal date, 90-day reports and re-entry permits go into our system. You get reminders and we handle the paperwork when it comes round. For clients on relocation packages, we stay reachable for the practical questions that come up in the first year.

Three levels of support, compared

No two moves are the same, so there is no fixed price list. Choose the level of help you need and we put the scope and fee in writing after a free case review. Most clients choose Visa & Relocation.

Relocation services are delivered in person where our team operates and by phone or video elsewhere. We are straightforward about what is available in your chosen location before you commit.

How Your Quote Is Prepared

What the fee depends on, and what it never includes

Your fee depends on the service, your circumstances and the level of support required. A straightforward retirement extension for someone already in Thailand with a Thai bank account is a smaller job than a first application from abroad with foreign documents to legalise and a family to house. We price the actual work.

What moves the fee

  • The visa route, and whether you apply from abroad or convert inside Thailand.
  • How many documents come from overseas and need certifying, legalising or translating.
  • Whether relocation support is included, and how much of it is in person.
  • How long ongoing support runs: the first month, the first year, or renewal to renewal.

What is always shown separately

Government fees, such as immigration charges for extensions and re-entry permits, and third-party costs such as translation, legalisation, courier or hospital charges. They are listed in your quote where they apply, at cost, so you can see our fee and the official fees side by side.

What we ask of you

Complete and accurate information, documents when we ask for them, and a prompt word if your circumstances change. That is what lets us keep to the scope we quoted.

Why are fixed prices not listed?

The work required varies with your visa route, documents, location and timing. After a free case review you receive one written quotation with the agreed scope and fee, so you can see exactly what you are paying for.

Can I request a quote before deciding?

Yes. The initial discussion helps us understand your needs. You review the written quotation before choosing whether to proceed, with no obligation.

Are government fees included?

Government and third-party fees, such as immigration fees, translation or legalisation charges, are identified separately in your quotation where they apply. They are passed on at cost.

When do I pay?

Payment terms are set out in your quotation. For most packages a deposit is taken when you confirm and the balance is due at an agreed stage, such as submission. Nothing is charged before you have accepted the written scope.

What if my application is refused?

Decisions are made by Thai immigration and no agent can guarantee an outcome. Our fee covers the work of preparing and presenting your case properly. If we see a problem before you apply, we tell you, and you decide whether to proceed. Government fees are not refundable by the authorities.

Do I need to know exactly what service I want?

No. The first conversation helps clarify which support path makes sense. Many clients start with a visa question and add relocation support once they see what the move involves.
